One of best things to come of this long overdue celebration of Fellini's body of work in this his 100th anniversary is the re-release of his many of films that shockingly have not been given much needed restoration. Well you can tick "Nights Of Cabiria" of the list. Kate Erbland from Indie Wire just announced that Fellini's 1957 Oscar winner for best foreign film is getting the full 4k restoration! The news comes as New York City’s Film Forum is gearing up for a two-week run of the film, freshened up with a new 4K restoration, which also boasts a new translation and subtitles. The film’s 4K restoration comes from TF1 Studio in partnership with Studiocanal and with the support of the CNC. “Nights of Cabiria” was restored at L’immagine Ritrovata Laboratory, Bologna.
